Originally from Windsor, Nova Scotia, Gail Church was the Manager, Finance and Administration at CHF Canada between from 1983 to 1989. In 1990 she became Director, Finance and Administration at the Somerset West Community Health Centre, where she remained until joining the Agency as Director, Corporate Services in 2005. She retired from that position in 2011.
Gail has served on many community-based boards of directors. These include the Ottawa Community Credit Union, Abiwin Co-operative as an incorporating director and the Ottawa Community Housing Corporation. Recruited by Mark Goldblatt, Gail served on the board of the Funeral Co-operative of Ottawa until 2018. In 2017, she moved into Des Jardins Co-operative d’appartements, serving as Treasurer and president. Frank, collaborative and extroverted, Gail is a decisive and effective leader and a natural co-operator.
